Authoring the content of a score report
Authoring the content of a score report consists of entering the score report text, variables, and keywords (used for search purposes).
While authoring, you may format and spell check text, and add images, audio/video clips, and symbols.
To author the content of a score report:
1. Navigate to the Content tab (highlighted in red, below).
2. In the Score Report field (highlighted in green, below), begin creating the score report by entering text, images and audio/video clips (called exhibits) and symbols.
In the example below, the user has begun creating the score report by inserting a company logo and some text (highlighted in green, below):
3. To insert information such as the candidate name, ID number, exam date, etc., (called variables), first select the Insert tab (highlighted in red, below). Click the cursor where you want the variable to appear. Click the New Variable button to open the Insert New Variable into Item pop-up window (highlighted in green, below).
4. Select the desired variable from the Select a Variable drop-down list, then click the OK button. In the example above, the user is inserting the Candidate Name variable into the score report.
5. After clicking the OK button, coding for that variable will appear in the score report. In the example below, coding for Candidate Name has been inserted (highlighted in red, below).
6. Repeat Steps 2 through 5, above, continuing to add images/video, text, and variables to the score report. .
7. To add scoring information to the score report, click the cursor where you want the scoring information to appear, then click the New Diagnostic Section button (highlighted in red, below). A scoring variable will appear where you clicked the cursor.
In the example below, the user has inserted scoring information (highlighted in red, below) below a line of text that reads, "The candidate's score is shown below."
8. In the Keywords field (highlighted in red, below), enter keywords and phrases for the item, each separated by a semicolon (;). These keywords will be searchable when performing an item search. In the example below, the user has entered three keywords:
9. Click the Save button. The item has been saved, and assigned a new Item ID by the system (highlighted in red, below).
