1. To sort records in the tabular display by a single column:
In the example below, the tabular display is unsorted (highlighted in green). Click a column heading to sort the tabular display in ascending order by that column. In the example below, the user has clicked the Item ID column heading (highlighted in red).
The tabular display will now display in a sorted order, and the sorted column heading will contain an arrow indicating the direction of the sort. In the example below, the tabular display is now sorted by Item ID (highlighted in green). The Item ID column heading contains an up arrow (highlighted in red), indicating that it is sorted in ascending order.
Click the column heading a second time to sort the tabular display in descending order. In this case, the column heading would contain a down arrow.
Click the column heading a third time to cancel all sorting.
2.To sort records in the tabular display by multiple columns:
Click a column heading to sort the tabular display in ascending order by that column. This is the primary sort.
Hold the <SHIFT> key and click a second column heading to sort the tabular display in ascending order by that column. This is the secondary sort. In the example below, the user has clicked the Item Type column heading first (highlighted in green), and then the Modified column heading (highlighted in red).
Repeat Step B, above, to perform a tertiary sort, etc.
