Entering data into user-defined fields for an HTML item
After authoring the content of an item, you can enter data into user-defined fields (UDFs) in order to capture customized data about an item. Click here for information on managing (creating, editing, deleting) UDFs.
To enter data into user-defined fields for an HTML item:
1. Select UDFs from the View dropdown (highlighted in red, below).
2. The User Defined Fields view is displayed. Any UDFs (created previously) that are active and available to this item's section will be listed here.
3. Enter data into the UDFs.
4. Click the Save UDFs button (highlighted in red, above) to persist all changes.
Note: Some UDFs are specified as required. If the UDF is required, the item cannot be promoted to a pending status until a value is entered.
