Working with tabs

When working in Pro!, all content is displayed in tabs that line up (by default) across the top of the Pro! workspace (highlighted in red, below). The active tab's heading is labelled in boldface (in the example below, the SSMC 203221 tab is active).

Note: The term "tab" used in this section should not be confused with the term "tabular display," which is a Pro! feature that shows records in a columnar, or tabular, display.

To switch tabs, either click on a tab heading (highlighted in red, below), or select a tab from the tab dropdown on the right side of the workspace (highlighted in green, below).

To close a tab, first switch to a tab, and then click the close button (X):

If you have unsaved data in the tab you are trying to close, the system will alert you. You must save all changes before closing a tab.
