Adding classifications to an item writing project
 
To add classifications to a project:
 
1. Navigate to the Classifications tab of the Item Writing Project Management screen (highlighted in green below), and click the plus signs to drill down to the classification set within the section.
 
 
2. Selecting the desired classification set from the Classification Sets pane will open that set's values in the Available Values pane.
 
Note: If a value from a classification set has already been assigned to a task for the project, that set will not be selectable for classification value assignment.
 
 
3. Classification selection must be made to the leaf level of the tree (the lowest possible level of values).  A selection can be made directly at that level by expanding the branch using the  icon and clicking of the check boxes for those lowest level values (highlighted in green, below).  Value selection will be reflected in a count updated in the Classification Sets pane (highlighted in red, below).
 
 
4. Alternatively an entire branch of the classification set value tree can be selected by clicking the checkbox for any higher level value (highlighted in green below).  This results in all values beneath the selection also becoming checked.  The one click will result in multiple values being selected and reflected in the classification sets count (highlighted in red, below).
 
 
5. If a classification set has values selected then the set can be identified as required for the item writing project by clicking the Require Assignment icon (highlighted in red, below).  This will require item writers to assign a selected value for this classification set when authoring an item.
 
 
6.  The following page controls (labeled in red in the figure below) allow for easier viewing and selection of the available classification set values.
