Viewing a passage version

A passage version captures the current content of a passage.  A new version is created and maintained every time the passage content is saved.  The snapshot or version  history of a passage is available on the Content tab of the Edit Passage or View Passage pages.

To view a passage version:

1. Search for and open a passage.

2. The Content tab will open by default.

3. Click the desired timestamp hyperlink from the Snapshots/Versions list (highlighted below) to view the passage content as it was saved at that date and time.

4. The Passage Snapshot window is presented and displays the selected passage snapshot/version.

5. Click the Show Differences button (highlighted in red, above) to compare the selected version with the currently displayed version of the passage.

6. The differences between the currently displayed version of the passage and the selected version will become highlighted in the content pane of the Passage Snapshot dialogue.  Additions to the text will be highlighted in green, while deletions will be highlighted in pink.

7. Click the Hide Differences button (highlighted in red, above) to stop showing differences and to show the selected passage version.

8. Click Close to shut the Passage Snapshot window.
